🧒 Kids bikes
Which bike is best for my child?
We offer bikes in different sizes to suit children of all ages. To find the right size, we recommend that you measure your child's height and use our size guide. You are also welcome to contact customer service for personalized advice.
How do I choose the right size bike?
Measure your child's height and use our size guide. As a rule of thumb we recommend:
- 2-4 years: 12-14 inches
- 4-6 years: 16 inches
- 6-8 years: 20 inches
- 8-11 years: 24 inches
- 11+ years: 26 inches
What safety precautions should I take when my child is cycling?
We always recommend using an approved helmet. Check your bike's brakes and tire pressure and make sure the bike is properly adjusted and in good condition before use.
How do I maintain the bike?
Clean the bike regularly and lubricate the chain. Check brakes, tires and handlebars and tighten bolts as needed. See our maintenance guide for more tips.
Are your bikes assembled on delivery?
No, the bikes are delivered 85% assembled. You need to assemble the handlebars, pedals and wheels yourself - it takes about 15-25 minutes.
How often should I check the bike?
We recommend checking tire pressure, brakes and chain once a month - especially after winter.
If you find that the bike is not suitable after you have assembled it, it is not possible to return the bike
🕒 99 days return policy
At Børnecyklerne.dk / ChantyBikes we offer a 99-day return policy - because we want you as a customer to shop safely and without worry.
To use the right of return, the following conditions apply:
The product must be unopened, unused and not assembled.
The packaging must be intact and in original condition.
A bicycle that has been assembled, used or commissioned cannot be returned.
Once we have received and approved the item, a refund will be issued within a few days.
We always recommend that you contact our customer service before returning an item to ensure a quick and smooth process.
📦 Order and delivery
Do you offer delivery?
Yes, we offer delivery throughout Denmark. Delivery time is usually 3-5 business days. You will see shipping options and prices at checkout.
Do you ship abroad?
Yes, we ship to the entire EU. International shipping costs will be shown at checkout.
How do I track my order?
You will receive an email with a tracking link when your order is shipped.
What do I do if I receive a damaged bike?
Contact customer service as soon as possible with pictures and description. We will help you with a solution, such as return or replacement.
When will the money be withdrawn from my account?
The amount will not be deducted until the item has been shipped. You can never deduct more than what you have authorized.
Do you have the item in stock?
- All stock items are marked with green inside the product itself (usually 1-2 business days delivery).
- All remote items are marked with yellow inside the product itself (usually 3-7 business days delivery).
🔄 Returns and feedback
Can I return or exchange a bike?
Returns. You have a 14-day return policy from the date of receipt, as long as the product is unused and in original packaging. Use our return form.
Who pays for the return?
Customer covers the full return to our warehouse without any damage
I ordered the wrong size - now what?
Return the unused bike and order a new one. You pay the return shipping (99 kr).
How do I give feedback on your products?
After purchase, you will receive an email with the option to leave a review. We really appreciate your feedback!
🛠️ Warranty and customer service
Do I have a warranty on your products?
Yes, there is a 2-year warranty on all our products, which covers manufacturing defects. Damage due to misuse, wear and tear or lack of maintenance is not covered.
What do I do if I have a problem with my bike?
Send us an email with a description and pictures and we'll assess the case and find a solution.

🔧 Assembly and technical issues
What do I do if I can't figure out how to assemble the bike?
Follow the assembly instructions carefully. If you have any questions, please contact us - we are happy to help with additional guidance, pictures or video links.
You are responsible for assembling the bike yourself. If you find it difficult, we recommend that you contact a professional bike mechanic. This is at your own risk and expense.
Can you pack and assemble the bike for me?
Yes, we offer 100% assembled bikes as an option for 699 DKK. You can choose it when you order, however, there are specific bikes we can assemble.
What if my bike has a scratch?
A scratch can only be covered or refunded if it is discovered and documented *before* the bike is assembled. Check the bike upon receipt.
Can I cancel or change my order?
If the order has not been shipped yet, please contact us as soon as possible. Once the package has been shipped, the order cannot be canceled - but you can return it after receipt.
Is the bike missing a screw or other parts?
Contact us immediately if any parts are missing. We will send the missing part immediately.

Is it possible to pay in installments?
Yes, through the options we have on the site you can choose installments - see your options in checkout.
Can I share pictures of my child with the bike?
Yes - we love customer photos! Share them on Instagram and tag us @boernecyklerne.dk 💛
Do you have gift cards?
Yes, you can buy digital gift cards in multiple amounts - perfect for birthdays and christenings.

Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes, when purchasing 5+ bikes. Contact us for a customized price.
Can we become resellers?

Can we buy as an institution or school?
Yes, we offer B2B sales to schools, kindergartens and after-school programs. Write to us for a quote.

What is the best way to store the bike in winter?
Dry and frost-free - preferably indoors. Tires should not be left without air for a long time.
