- Visa and Mastercard
- MobilePay
- PayPal
- Anyday
- ViaBill
- Other payment cards and payment methods shown at checkout
The payment options available for your order are always shown at checkout.
Reservation and payment
When paying by card, the amount may be reserved in your account in connection with the purchase. The amount is not charged until the item is shipped, unless otherwise follows from the selected payment method or applicable rules.
We do not charge card fees.
When paying through PayPal, Anyday, or ViaBill, the respective payment provider's own terms apply. Any applicable fees, payment deadlines, and other terms are stated before you complete your purchase.
Delivery
We ship orders from our warehouse in Denmark.
For in-stock items, the expected delivery time is normally 2–5 business days, unless otherwise stated on the product page.
Smaller items and accessories can be delivered to a parcel shop. Bicycles and larger items are delivered by freight carrier.
The specific delivery method, delivery price, and expected delivery time are shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.
Delivery of larger items is generally made to the curb or in front of the main door, without carrying the item inside, unless otherwise agreed.
Special delivery terms and prices may apply to islands without bridge connections and other areas where standard delivery is not possible.
Preorders
Some products can be purchased as preorders.
If an item is available for preorder, the expected delivery period or delivery date is stated on the product page before purchase. In these cases, the delivery time will be longer than for regular in-stock items.
The stated delivery date is an estimated date and may change due to, for example, production, transport, or other circumstances beyond our direct control. This does not limit your rights in the event of a delay under applicable law.
If there is a significant change in the expected delivery, we will inform you.
As a general rule, your statutory withdrawal period begins only when you have received the item.
Right of withdrawal
As a consumer, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal when making a distance purchase from CHANTY.
The period runs from the day you receive the item. If an order consists of several items delivered separately, the period generally runs from the day you receive the last item.
If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must clearly notify us before the deadline expires.
You can contact us at support@chantybikes.com or use our return form.
It is not sufficient simply to refuse receipt of the product without also informing us that you wish to withdraw from the purchase.
Withdrawal from parts of an order
CHANTY offers you the option to withdraw from the purchase of one or more products from a combined order.
If you return only part of your order, the original delivery costs will generally not be refunded. However, this does not apply if otherwise required by applicable rules or the specifically agreed delivery terms.
Returns
Once you have informed us that you wish to withdraw from the purchase, the product must be returned within 14 days.
You are responsible for the direct costs of returning the product, unless otherwise agreed or required by applicable law.
Bicycles and other larger goods normally cannot be returned as ordinary parcels and must therefore be shipped with a carrier that can handle the product's size. For goods that cannot be returned by regular mail, information about the expected return costs must be provided before purchase in accordance with the law.
You bear the risk for the product during return shipping until we receive it.
Condition of the product: You are only liable for any reduction in value resulting from handling the product beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functionality. If the product has been used to a greater extent than this, it may affect the amount you receive back.
We recommend returning the product securely packaged and, where possible, in its original packaging. For bicycles and other large products, proper packaging is particularly important to prevent transport damage. Opening the packaging does not in itself cancel the right of withdrawal.
Special conditions for bicycles: inspection, assembly, and reduction in value
Inspection before assembly
Upon receiving a bicycle from CHANTY, the customer is encouraged to thoroughly inspect the bicycle and all accompanying parts before beginning assembly.
The customer should inspect the bicycle for visible scratches, paint damage, transport damage, defective components, and missing parts. We recommend documenting any issues with clear photographs.
If the customer discovers defects, damage or deficiencies, we recommend that the customer refrain from further assembly and contact CHANTY at support@chantybikes.com with photos and the order number. Failure to inspect or document the item before assembly does not in itself result in the loss of statutory rights.
Opening the packaging and assembly
The customer has the right to open the packaging and inspect the bicycle to the extent necessary to determine its nature, characteristics and function. Opening the packaging does not automatically result in the loss of the right of withdrawal.
Assembly and disassembly of components, including handlebars, pedals, wheels, saddle, brakes and other parts, may result in a reduction in value. This also applies if only one or a few components are assembled.
If assembly, disassembly or other handling goes beyond what is necessary to inspect the item and results in a reduction in value, CHANTY may make a corresponding, specifically justified deduction from the refund in accordance with the Danish Consumer Contracts Act.
A bicycle does not automatically lose its statutory right of withdrawal because it has been fully or partially assembled.
Scratches and damage after assembly
If scratches, paint damage, tool marks, damaged components or other damage attributable to the customer's handling beyond what is necessary for inspection are discovered after assembly, CHANTY may deduct a documented reduction in value.
However, the fact that damage is first reported after assembly does not in itself mean that the damage is considered to have been caused by the customer. CHANTY assesses the matter on a case-by-case basis, based on the available documentation and applicable rules, including the rules on defects and burden of proof.
Assessment of returned bicycles
Upon receiving a returned bicycle, CHANTY inspects the item and assesses its condition. Any reduction in value is assessed on a case-by-case basis, based among other things on:
- Damage caused during assembly or disassembly
- Scratches, paint damage or other damage caused by the customer's handling
- Wear or signs of use beyond what is necessary for inspection
- Missing or damaged parts
- Necessary, reasonable repairs and the demonstrable reduction in resale value
If the handling has resulted in a significant reduction in value, the deduction may constitute a substantial portion of the item's price. Only if, as a result of the handling in question, the item is genuinely without commercial value, and this can be documented following a specific assessment, may the reduction in value correspond to the item's entire value.
CHANTY does not automatically reject a timely withdrawal due to opened packaging, partial assembly, or complete assembly. Any reduction in the refund must be based on specific depreciation for which the customer is liable under the law.
The right to make a complaint remains in effect
These conditions concerning inspection, assembly, and depreciation do not limit the customer's statutory right to make a complaint. Defects and deficiencies that were present upon delivery will be handled in accordance with the provisions of the Sale of Goods Act, even when they are only discovered after assembly.
Refund
In the event of a valid withdrawal, we will refund the amounts we are required to refund under applicable law without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your notice of withdrawal.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the product back or until you have provided documentation that the product has been returned, whichever occurs first.
If the entire order is cancelled, the original standard delivery cost will be refunded in accordance with the law; any additional payment for a more expensive delivery method chosen by the customer may not necessarily be refunded. Lawful deductions for depreciation may be offset.
The refund will generally be made using the same payment method used for the purchase, unless the customer has expressly agreed otherwise and at no additional cost to the customer.
How to return:
Start your return via our return form:
Return form: https://return.shipmondo.com/retur-bc-dk
Once the return has been registered, the product must be sent to:
CHANTY c/o Shipship
Cementvej 1
4600 Køge
Denmark
Email: support@chantybikes.com
Returned goods must be sent directly to the above address. We do not collect returned goods from parcel shops.
Remember to state your order number and the necessary information so that we can identify and process the return. Your statutory right of withdrawal can also be exercised by clearly notifying us without using the return form.
Right to make a complaint
As a consumer, you have a 24-month right to make a complaint under the provisions of the Sale of Goods Act.
If the product is defective, you may, depending on the circumstances, be entitled to, for example, repair, replacement, an appropriate price reduction, or cancellation of the purchase.
You must submit a complaint within a reasonable time after discovering the defect. If you submit a complaint within 2 months of discovering the defect, the complaint will generally be considered timely.
If the complaint is justified, we cover reasonable costs associated with the return.
Contact us or complete the return form before sending an item back as a complaint so that we can assist with the practical handling. This does not limit your statutory rights to make a complaint.

Business purchases
Different terms apply to purchases made as a business customer than to consumer purchases.
For business purchases, a 12-month period for complaints generally applies unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by mandatory law.
For business purchases, CHANTY reserves the right to remedy a defect initially, for example by repairing or replacing the relevant part, where this is possible.
Assembly and safety
Some of our bicycles are delivered fully or partially assembled. The specific degree of assembly may vary between models and is stated in the product information or the included assembly instructions.
Always follow the included instructions when assembling and preparing the bicycle.
Before using the bicycle, you must check that the handlebars, wheels, pedals, saddle, and brakes, among other things, are correctly fitted and adjusted.
If you are unsure about the correct assembly or adjustment, we recommend having the bicycle inspected by a professional before use.
Please inspect the bicycle for visible damage and defects before assembly. If you discover any faults, we recommend that you take photographs and contact us before carrying out further assembly.
Complaints
If you experience a problem with your purchase, you must first contact us at support@chantybikes.com so that we can try to find a solution.
If we cannot find a solution, you as a consumer can explore the possibility of bringing the matter before the relevant Danish complaints board via Nævnenes Hus.
The applicable requirements, monetary limits, and procedures are set out in the official information from Nævnenes Hus: naevneneshus.dk.
Privacy policy
We process your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
